I was trying to download the Mac version of the code. However after download there is no installer file. I can only see a folder named "rJava_Mac_j3d_files" the Download window. At this time I am trying it in OS 10.6.8, later I will try in later version of OS. Can you please give me some suggestion how I can get the software running.

In addition to downloading the rJava_Mac_j3d_files.zip file from quarknova.ca/rJava/ you also need to download the Mac installer (.dmg file) from the binaries section (lower down on the page). The zip file needs to be extracted to the folder /Library/Java/Extensions/ on your Mac. Once done, the downloaded installer (which is named rJava_macos_2_0_20141114.dmg) can be run to install r-Java. This means that there should be a folder (starting from the root of the drive): /Library/Java/Extensions/ whose contents include 7 *.jar (java library files) for the program to be able to find and link to when the application runs. The files MUST be placed in this folder location and NOT in a folder hierarchy beginning from the a user's home directory. If r-Java 2.0 will not open and you get an error message (which resembles a stack trace) which says something about missing class definitions or missing library this is because the Java3D files have are not visible to the Java program because they have not been copied to the correct folder. Execution of the commands as in the terminal screenshot below should show the same files if you have these files installed correctly. Attachments:
